Jayme
Stedman has been dancing for over 22 years, and began teaching and
choreographing in 2002. She began her training at the Dance Shoppe
in Plymouth, MN, where she was trained in ballet, jazz, tap,
lyrical, pointe, contemporary and musical theater. She won many
awards both in solo, and group, both at competitions around the
state as well as the country.
After graduation, she moved onto college at the University of
Wisconsin – Stevens Point as a Dance Major and a Business Minor.
Throughout college, she taught and choreographed both at Turning
Point Dance Academy, and within the UWSP Department of Theater and
Dance. During college, Jayme also interned at Broadway Dance Center
in New York City, studied with Alonzo King’s LINES Dance Company,
and River North Chicago Dance Company. She was also awarded the
Kathryn Bukholt Dance Scholarship through the University in 2006.
After college, Jayme returned to MN to coach dance team,
choreograph, and holding intensives around the metro area. She
absolutely loves to dance and share her passion with those who love
it as well! Jayme is very excited to be joining the Jeté Dance
Centre team. |
