  • What should my School Year Recreational dancer wear for class?
Students may wear anything comfortable that allows them to move freely in class. Most younger dancers will choose to wear a leotard and tights, and use these items as part of the pre-class routine of getting ready. Many older dancers will choose to wear, t-shits and shorts or other athletic wear. Students may wear any appropriate style and color of shoes for their dance classes, but must purchase the correct styles and colors of shoes from JDC prior to pictures and recital in the spring. This ensures that all dancers match, as it is a component to the overall recital costume.
